General Books:
Surely you're joking, Mr. Feynman
by Richard Feynman and Ralph Leighton
An absolute must read for any physicists, and seriously for body with a sense of humor. Richard Feynman is one of my greatest inspiration for anything and everything. I've done quite a number of experiments just purely based off of this book, that includes sniffing my friends' hands. Very inspirational.
The Sparrow
by Mary Doria Russell
An absolute emotional ride. It's been at least five years since I read this book and there are parts of it in which I still remember to this day. It's very philosophical and makes us question a lot about our own society. I highly recommend for times when you're feeling philosophical with a cup of tea.
Physics/Mathematics Books:
Advanced Calculus
by Federick Woods
Really great text for mathematic lovers. A lot of techniques not taught in school is discussed in this book. A staple on my bookshelf to be honest.
Lasers
by Anthony Siegman
I still refer to this as the bible although many have now convert to the Miloni and Eberly text. It has by far the most in depth discussion of lasers, some of which Miloni and Eberly lacks.
