So, to make up for it, I do what I usually do best, find a replacement for the lack of sunshine by throwing on some colors. I picked the dress from Ann Taylor as it's one of the few pieces that I own with some actual color to it.
Since it was quite loose, and had a boxy shaped, I added a yellow velvet belt accented by plastic links with a cheatah type pattern. I layered on top with one of my favorite short sleaved cardigan by August Silk, in petite small. I wore nude flats by Banana Republic in size 6... except my tan lines from my previous sandals looked really weird.
The only accessory I had on was this pendant necklace I got from Forever 21. It's of a lion, very adorable! I like the small smile and the really adorable dangling eyes. I wish the chain was bigger to look more proportional with it, but it's cute as is.
I'm not sure if I'm in love with this dress. I have a short torso, and since the ruffles are a little longer with such a lower neckline, I feel like it cuts my body even more. The dress is in Petite Small, which fitted a lot better than I expected. I'm curvy and I had not expected for the PS to fit, but it did. It's pretty roomy, so beware.
Anyhow, because of such a bad morning, I decided to treat myself to a cup of Cappuccino, homemade. I added a drizzle of agave nectar for sweetness and design. I feel like a barista!
I need a de-stress mechanism. I've been really busy with work and family drama recently.
